I had no complaints with the visteon HDZ-300 once it was hooked up properly. The now in production closest thing to it is the MP3car BoomzBox Hd Radio.

    We're quick here.... sometimes .

I have a BoomzBox, and I have to say I'm impressed. It operates very similarly to the Visteon and Directed HD units, except audio and control are over usb, so no more muddling with serial and RCA cables.

That would be a plus in my book because I had the worst time trying to get the rca to heaphones to a line in to work good.

if price is the problem, you might try radioshark 2.
I am considering it but it has mixed reviews regarding AM/FM quality, but there are also some people with modification posts for it, as its pretty cheap, i belive its a viable choice to mod.
