going by what i have read(i do not have either device) it seems that part of the noise cancelation of the andrea is through the output, so it must control both, and there is no way to send the phone audio to a different sound card..
I am looking to get some info on how others have implemented the phoenix soho card for echo cancellation with the andrea mic w/noise cancellation and a usb/pci sound card for good quality processing. It seems that it is not possible without without passing the output of the andrea into the mic input of the usb/pci soundcard and passing it through if that is even possible.
The usb sound card in question is the EMU 0202 and would love to hear how people have tackled this problem. I tried searching but didnt come up with too many setups that were similar.
Is there a way to trick the andrea usb dongle to do the noise cancellation and output it via another sound card?
In CF the music output and the phone output should be the EMU 0202.
Thanks in advance
~Tom

you are right justchat, you can send it to another sound card but i think soundman mean to send emulate the andrea output via the emu by some sort of software to get noise cancellation and still use the emu sound card.
without the andrea sound card output, will i still experience noise cancellation?

I have the andrea and I have used the mic in alone and use the emu sound output but echo was a big issue. I dont think the person on the other line was ever able to look past the echo to determine if noise cancellation was in use or not.
The output needs to be routed to the andrea for echo cancellation to work.
Nope your 100% right there, I was wondering about why you cant use the andrea (mic and speaker out) just for phone calls? Is that a bluesoleil limitation or a centrafuse thing?
