Arrow Connect WD Passport 500GB on with car audio unit

    Greetings to all
    I'd like to ask:
Does anybody knows what car audio units have the ability to connect an external USB Hard Drive? I'm already know the limitation of the filesystem of the hdd

Preferably, if someone has succesfully connect WD Passport 500GB with his car unit, please let me know the model of the unit

    Thanks in advance

Other than the filesystem limitations (I believe it needs to be in formatted in fat 32 and the radio protocols can only utilize only so many files), there are power constraints that need to be addressed, ie you'll need to externally power the drive since the radio's output current is not enough to spin the drive.
But where is the computer going in your car?

Connect the hard disk Via WD Media Player or Amkette Flash TV and in turn connect it to car media receiver

We have tested similar HDD with GROM-USB units.
Check compatibility list if it fits your car.
