    help extending HU connection

I need to move my HU into my console where my right arm sits (not sure what it is called I guess center console). My LCD of course took up the space where the HU usually would sit in a car so this is my idea of where to put it. I have a 06 XTerra.

The connector looks like the picture below and i can't figure out to extend it three feet.

Any ideas how to extend this wire would be great! Thanks.

    Cut & splice.
I'd do it one wire at a time to make sure everything gets wired correctly.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

you could also just extend the faceplate, instead of the entire head unit..

This is exactly what I was trying to do because the head unit is so bulky. I searched for how to do this everywhere, but could not find any information on it all. This would be amazing if i could just send the display or extend the display somewhere else.

Soundman98 do you have an idea of how to extend a faceplate or know where i could get information on this.

there are tons of thread about it-- i even did it once.. for a old scooter i was modding at the time(long short, the project failed-- the i powered the radio off the scooter batteries, and every time i hit the gas, the radio reset..)

just the tip of the iceberg.. remember, this forum is primarily for installing computers in cars, so the fact that there are that many links here means that car audio-specific sites have gotta have at least double the amount of projects with this..

I do have one. I bought the Fanless Micro Intel Vehicle Computer from mp3car.com and works great other than the line out seems to be broken probably just a driver.
