Okay,
Getting closer and closer to completing my project, while removing my dash today, it crossed my mind that I could and now want to keep my headunit, but will have to move it to the glove box.
So within my car there will be TWO audio outputs, the carputer and my headunit.
How can I have it setup so that I have sound from my computer going to my two amps, and sound from my headunit going to my two amps as well?
Obviously I will only be listening to one at a time, but don't want to have to swap wires around every time I change device.
Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks,
Jack.
When you say auxiliary input do you just me standard 3.5mm audio jack? Which is commonly used to play music via mp3 players etc?
Thanks,
Jack.
Well, that might be it, or it might have left and right rca jacks, which is what mine does. Either one works.
or you can use rca y-adapters on the amps, or put a fancy switch(at least a double pole, double throw[dpdt]) to switch between them.
i also have a secondary input(learned i needed it after some hdd problems)-- just a 3.5mm jack in the center console that is connected using y-adapter cables. the only thing is that i can't run the pc and ipod at the same time-- the pc makes the 3.5mm input super low volume..
