Thread: Help with XM Direct

Recently my XMD1000 stopped worked. It happened after re-arranging some parts in the car, but i can't remember anything in particular that would have damaged it.. anyway, here it is:

I've been using Centrafuse with my XM mostly without problems for at least a year. Now, when i try to use XM, it will do a refresh, but none of the stations will actually play, nor will any of the stations display what is playing. So, it is being seen, but something fails after initialization.

Using the XMID tool, it will connect and display a RadioID. However, it will stick at "updating stations" and will never display any. With the debug screen it seems to respond ("FROM XM: ..."), but again, never actually plays any stations nor creates a station list.

I've tried on two separate computers now and two different antennas with the same result.

The voltage regulator that's screwed into the case does seem to get really hot... hotter than i remember it being, but I can't be sure.

I can get the debug info from the XMID tool if anyone can use it.

Anyone have any ideas?
