Need help to find the best aftermarket amp and speakers to replace stock stuff

I had 1998 Toyota Altezza that you guys know it as Lexus IS200 and IS300 in US and sound quality of the factory sound system was pretty good to the point I loved it (compare to my current car)
now I have 2007 Toyota Camry and I can easily notice the crap sound quality compare to my Altezza.
I'm not into bass and sub-woofer so I just love to feel the music when I drive around so looking to replace the factory speakers and put an amp instead of using the current Chinese HU amp.
I don't really mind to spend few hundreds bux as long as I get the best sound quality.
I remember when I was listening to music in my IS200, I could feel my self inside the song and could notice every single detail of the music. but now I can't listen to music more than 20minutes inside my Toyota Camry... my ears get tired very fast and sometimes I get headache because of the bad sound quality.

anyone got recommendation on speakers and amp please?

i have been thinking about this a little more...

a stock car audio system that has never been modified, should never cause issues like this. granted, the audio might be lacking in certain areas, but it should never cause listening fatigue. period.

the symptoms your having(i know, i sound like a doctor..i'm not--otherwise i would use my own prescription pad!) indicate that there is some psycho-acoustic problems going on-- this is when there is something wrong with the audio signal your listening to, and your brain tries to fix it to make it sound good or correct. this makes your brain work overtime to fix the problems and messed up audio your listening to, resulting in tiredness, and headaches..

this could be from a number of things, but the first couple that come to mind:
your settings could be way off-- is the bass, or treble turned way up/down? zero them out, and see if it the becomes more bearable.

you could also have a speaker wired out of phase-- when you look at the speakers as they are playing, most speakers appear to 'pop' out, a speaker that is wired wrong will pull the cone in. if you have done work on the audio system, i recommend you check this.(there are plenty of guides to checking speaker phase online) if you have ever been near a pair of speakers wired this way, even a minute or two of listening can cause listening problems..

oh thanks a lot for replies guys :-)
no I did not modify the speakers... all are factory stuff.
I don't get any problem when I listening to music on my driveway.. and sounds is not bad but when I hit motorway, I have up the volume and that when I get tired after like 30minutes of drive... yes I did change those setting and adjusted the bass a bit high as well as treable but I used to the same with my IS2000... man camry is the worse car I ever owned.. it just looks nice... there is nothing about quality in it at all...

ok, change those settings to flat, or zero, and keep it that way for a day and see if you still have problems-- it could be those settings..

every car is different. if your so unhappy, maybe you should go back to the is200..

Yeah I will do that for few days...
is200 is getting a bit old, thats why I upgraded to camry and newer shape of IS200 is IS250 which I can't afford at the moment.

Sounds like a little sound deadening might be warranted to keep some of the excess noise out.
