    Where to install my amp

    Hi All,

Today I started to install my amp for my carpc in my Toyota Corolla 02, I've run 8 guage, the remote line (16G) to the boot, under the doors, also the RCA Cables.
    G
Its only a small 2 Channel Amp ( Fusion 350 watt), but will do what i need.

But now not sure where to mount the Amp, so posting on here.

    Should I.

    Continue with the Boot install:
Back of Rear Seats (Not sure of what i can attach it too here and they fold down so not keen on this)
    Fix to floor of Boot
Make an MDF box, Mounting Face

    Move to under Drivers seat

Reluctant to put it under the passenger seat as right below ive notice a bunch of cables/pipes, havent checked what they were but just stearing clear.

    Ideas?

    Regards

    Rapture

I did an install on a 03 Jetta with folding back seat. I installed two decent size Alpine amps upside down to the bottom of the package tray. That was over a year ago, no issues, he is very happy with the install.

    Thanks PhiG,

There is some room near the spare if i remove some plastic storage areas, considering that at the moment,

The problem i have is im always dropping the back seats to put large items in there after expensive trips to Bunnings (Australian Hardware Store), i think i could do with a truck like yours.

for space-constained installs, the spare tire area like what you were thinking is a common spot. also look at the sides behind the rear tire 'hump'(wheel well), or sometimes people have mounted the amps upside-down on the underside's of the rear parcel tray.

Installed the Amp on the side panel, drilled 4*2 sets of holes and fed cable ties through and secured it that way, i couldnt use screws without putting them into the body, but it is all holding up well.

Photo to follow as it got dark.

Thanks soundman98, the side is where it is at the moment, will see how it goes.

darroj thanks for the pic, your install looks like the back seats, i own a hatchback and alway dropping seats for building/gardening stuff, so not practical.

RaptureOz - ah ok, he also makes some nice underfloor ones if you're interested... here's a sample on a subaru station wagon (so the rear seats can fold down all the time too!) but I realize that may not help much with the amp, but it helps with the sub...
