CarPC to Factory Bose Amp

Is it okay to wire from a 3.5mm output on a PC directly to the inputs of a factory Bose amp in a 2003 G35? Does the amp want high or low level inputs? Does the PC provide high or low level inputs?

PC provides very low level inputs (On the scale of 0-0.5 or 1volt). Generally lower than most amps are rated for. I can't speak for Factory amps, but most amps you buy in the store have low level inputs as high as 8v in some cases. You need to find out, perhaps from a G35 forum or look up the actual part number of the amp, what kind of inputs the amp takes.

I would assume it is expecting low level inputs, but factory installed amps can be all sorts of weird things.

I just did a head unit install on a mid 90's Camaro with the factory Bose system and I did have to use as line level convertor to lower the input level so chances are, yours needs a low level input.

Yes, you will need something to go from the CarPC to the Bose amp. Let me dig through my pile of supplies from the various installs I have done on my 05 G, and I might have something that will help.

Cool, thanks guys. I did just order a PAC-LD10. Right now the audio is fairly clear but is flat as you could imagine. Bass is non-existent. I hope this helps. I may have to rip out the rest of the Bose stuff at some point anyway, we'll see!

I know im a few months late to the post. I also am looking to do a build and the furthest i got was how to get pc sound to the stock amp.
Now I have found this device.(ROEM-NIS2).
It allows aftermarket head units to adapt and be plug and play into the bose system.
Now the question is based upon the allowed inputs What would it take from a pc audio device output (soundcard or interface) stand point to give me PC outputs that can be splice/merge into the aftermarket harness inputs

RIGHT FRONT LOW LEVEL (+)

or what hardware be required to give me these sorts of outputs from a pc

Splice the stereo output from the PC and attach it to both the left and right low level inputs, that should do it! FYI I had to use the PAC LD-10 in order to get decent levels.
