I installed mine with it's own small dedicated speaker and mounted the speaker in the pillar over the seatbelt pulley beside my head. It works perfect and does not require the PC to be running to work.
Hey everyone,
I've given up on trying to get bluesoleil to work properly as a phone solution. I want to invest in a Parrot bluetooth kit, but I'm trying to figure out how exactly to wire this kit with my carPC system, since I have no headunit.
I would like to buy either the MKi9100 or the MKi9200. My car is a 2009 Scion tC. I have my computer connected to two amps, a 4-channel amp for the speakers and a monoblock amp for the subwoofers. The 4-channel amp is connected to the speakers using a metra radio harness.
The way I'd like the Parrot kit to work is to have it sit in between the speakers and the carPC. What I mean is, I'd like to have the Parrot system take priority with the speakers over the CarPC. This way, if my CarPC fails or is removed for repair, I can still use my phone handsfree and play music through my speakers.
So it would be something similar to this:
I've read through TeamRSX's thread Parrot Car Kit Mute Wire. I would need to wire a relay so that when the bluetooth kit becomes active, it disables the amps, right? Wouldn't the QCToy-1MK Toyota Non-JBL Harness be enough to get what I want done?
Sorry for the long post. I feel like I'm over-complicating this. I would really appreciate any and all help I can get.
