Any ideas? Anyone? Is there a Power Management piece I'm missing here?
Hey everyone, hoping some of you audio guys can shed some light on this:
Just replaced my old Turtle Beach PCI sound card with a HT Omega Striker 7.1 and everything sounds great, but I cannot successfully hibernate about 3/4 times. The system will get stuck and require a cold shut down. I installed the latest drivers from the site, and do not have any traces of the old sound card. Any possible ideas on what I could be missing here? I'm having to do full shut downs of the system before I leave the car now.

there might be a option for forcing a turn on via pci-slot connected devices..

assuming you hibernate a few seconds after turning the engine off, have you used a voltmeter to check the voltage drop to your PC prior to hibernate? A power fluxuation could prevent the sound card from responding to the PC and halt hibernation. An easy way to test this is to hibernate the PC before turning the car off (manually) a few times and check if the success rate improves.
