Hey guys, I have 2003 Monte Carlo, in the process of building my car-pc that never took off I did some minor upgrades. I do have the premium sound package, and purchased a Power Akoustik OV2-1600 (Gothic Series) amp, and a FUBR 12". Definitely not great stuff, but the price was right and it did sound pretty good. I bought the sub for an incredible price knowing it had a decent hole in it, was a great deal and well worth it, but the hole has expanded and now it gives out nearly nothing. I would like to upgrade for christmas.

Knowing this isn't that great of an amp I would like to pair it with a reasonable sub, I would love to stick with Power Acoustik but will go elsewhere. I am obviously not looking for that crisp clean sound that costs a premium, I am looking for a reasonable thump.

Any recommendations? The FUBR was great when the hole was minor.

P.S. someone said I could patch it with some rubber cement but never got around to try that, maybe I should this weekend.

I would like to put money into the sound system but I think the car will be traded in before too long so doesn't make sense. The enclosure I have is awesome and so would like to stick to single 12".
