it appears to be RP-SMA. but there is always a possibility that they use a custom antenna that needs to talk to the radio, so other options won't work-- i'd suggest using the included gps antenna to alleviate any issues with that.
Hi, I ordered a Pyle PLDNV78I and I’m wondering if anyone knows the connector type for the GPS antenna. I would like to connect the onstar antenna on my 2007 Vue to the PLDNV78I so I'm hoping there is an adapter out there. I don’t have the unit yet but below are pics of the antenna that comes with the unit and the unit itself. Any help is appreciated.

You are correct it is SMA so I ordered a SMA Male to MCX Male Cable to connect to the onstar antenna. I will post with the results after the install.
FYI - The SMA Male to MCX Male Cable worked fine to utilize the onstar antenna
I just got my Pyle PLDNV78I professionally installed. So far, I've noticed that using the GPS function disrupts the current audio, there is no "search" function when browsing ipod, and most unfortunately, there is no sub control or high/low pass filters available. Can you confirm/deny or direct me to the appropriate fixes for each of these problems please? Or if you have any issues with yours that you want to check with me about you can also ask that.

I'm actually looking at buying this unit - want something cheap, but don't want it too crappy either. let's hijack this thread(or we can take it to PM).
What I'm curious about:
- does it really default to volume of 10? Too loud?
- could you define "using the GPS function disrupts audio"?
- saw your Amazon review about the maps. it's hard for me to tell from the pictures, but I believe it uses iGo, right? That should be easy to update with rent Navteq maps, my last two car PCs used that. Was it easy to do considering no keyboard attaches to it, though? I guess it must run some version of Windows since iGo was only developed for Windows.
Thanks, appreciate any pointers!
[edit] oops my bad, looks like it's an Android device! Wonder how hackable it is. Hehe.
