No noise what so ever through my Audigy 2 ZS card. I use a 1/8 adaptor to RCAs to Stinger RCAs to EQ/Pre Amp to amps. Damn good sound I might add.Originally Posted by Vineet Singh

I have never grounded any of my puters in the past. Some people say it helps when they have noise but I never had noise so there was never a need to do it.

Under other circumstances I'd do a test to see if the sound is picking up interference before grounding the case, not that grounding the case would hurt anything.
Corruption- I can't give you a technical explanation for why you should ground the case, but I've experienced in my test install alty whine. The problem was resolved when I grounded the case. I'm using an inverter and basically I think that because of this the computer was not properly ground. I'm sure there's some type of ground inside the inverter, but for the car environment it may not be the best type of ground. Again just look at it from your needs and if you don't need to do it, don't.
Defiler and Altimat: What do you guys use for converting the cable from your audio out to your amps? Defiler, you mentioned the use of a 1/8 adapter. Can you post a pic of this? All I could find at Rat Shack was this black adapter which had one 1/8 male for the PC and 2 female RCA inputs for the RCAs. It's a solid plastic piece about 1" x 1". Is this what you use??
Thanks!
