Anyone have experience with ^^^^ Sony headunit? I searched and noticed that some people need to buy an attachement to use the aux in for sony units. Does this apply to all units? Or just the lower end units? The unit in question again is the CDX-M800.
hi guys
Ok i've got an old pioneer KEH-P3630R cassette head unit, and i've just purchased a CDRB10 cable to connect in the cd changer port on the back and then to my mp3 player. I plug it all in, but nothing can be heard ! Don't think the head unit is recognising that i have something in the aux - how do i tell it i have ? i.e. is theyre a setting ? I hold on the function button, but it just comes up with a load of crap. Or is it not possible to use this CDRB10 cable with this head unit ?
Cheers

Yes you need to turn the AUX function on. You have to go through the 'crap' to find the unction you need to change.
bear in mind if you have you CD player on and your carputer is playing your will hear them both. however if you have AUX selected you will hear only the carputer.
hi there
thanks for the reply, although bit confused on a couple of things. When you say carputer - what do u mean, my portable mp3 player(similar to ipod)?
Its not got a cd player on the head unit, its an old cassette unit. Basically, i can't find where to change to AUX function - i don't have the user manual, and the head unit itself is extremely unintuitive ! Any1 had any experience with this head unit? Its the Pioneer KEH-P3630R radio/cassette, one commonly found with old cd changers
Any help greatly appreciated, otherwise i've got a redundant CDRB10 lead which i can't connect my ipod to my car with

Sorry, for Ipod read carputer. I also thought you still had the CD multi-play attached.
Unfortunately haven't got the manual for my Pioneer head unit to hand, will dig it out and post later.
That would be absolutely brilliant, cheers.
When i do hold down on the function button, the head unit flashes "PGM-FUNC". Then, by using the left and right arrow keys, i can make it change and say PGM BSM, PGM REG, PGM LOCAL.
But nowhere can i see how to get to aux. When i purchased the cable (on ebay), the seller said it was compatible with most P unit pioneers. Should mine be compatible ?
Any help greatly appreciated, otherwise, £30 wasted
Cheers

Hiya - cheers for the reply
Don't really want to have to purchase a new head unit, but will look at it if i can't get this sorted. Are there any cheaper pioneer's that will allow AUX connectivity ?
cheers
