DVD player Not outputting Dolby Digital

I currently use WinDVD to play all of my DVDs however in the process of hooking up my DSP I realized that it was the application (WinDVD) that wasn't outputting Dolby Digital over the Digital Coax link. As soon as i swiitched to Windows Media Player every the Dolby digital light came on on my DSP.

What Gives? Anyone else experience this. What might I be doing wrong here? Shouldn't WinDVD output Dolby Digital?

I am just retarded. I changed a setting and it worked. I was just unfarmiliar with the program and it is kinda hard to find the settings menu on a touch screen
