    i have 4AWG + with 8AWG - and haven't had any problems...would I get more power to run both 4AWG?

The wiring kit I bought that had a bunch of wire that I might need suggested the 8 for grnd and 4 for red.

how are you going to turn on the amps, using a switch or a lead from your headunit? i'm going to skip the headunit so im hoping i can switch on/off both amps via a single +12V switch, if not then two switches. do you know if this is possible?
Don't quote me on this, better checking out an audio board as someone once told me the output on the back of the head unit for the power on lead is only a few volts, not 12. Check it out just incase though.

Interesting. I will, though i dont see why that would be the case. If anything i'll just use my carputter on/off as a remote on/off

More power? Only if you put TYPE R stickers on the cable, the electrons flow 4x times as fast.

No you wouldn't. The point of getting 'bigger' cable is that every AWG has a max rated amp's it can take, after that - theoretically - you can run into problems such as the cable melting etc. So, if you're running insane amounts of power to your amps/subs etc. You need a bigger cable... Otherwise, since you mentioned everything is working fine, leave it like that.

As pokey said though, it is a better practice to run the same ground awg and power. Less resistance there is, less noise there will be in your system.
