    Head Unit Remote Wire Switch

    Wondering what kind of signal/current runs through the remote wire on a head unit. I just installed a deep cycle battery, and I want to take the head unit off of accessory and put it on the Optima with a rocker switch. Can I just run the power and remote wires to the new battery, and put a switch on the remote? Everything else is on the deep cycle, and this is the last thing I need to swap over. Thanks...
