speaker magnet touching chassis - problem?

fitting some 6x9's in place of the stock units in my pug 406, trouble is the magnet usually protrudes through the dual layer parcel shelf ( theres a circular cutout ) this bottom plate of the shelf is metal, the new 6x9's have far wider magnets - luckily the just about fit through the hole, but they actually touch the chassis - is this going to demagnetise the magnet?

I'd be more worried about it scraping the metal.
