Question all you guys with BOSE OEM system please help

Hi I have done extensive and for this problem. SInce i know some of you guys have the BOSE systems straight from factory maybe you can help me out. How do I hook up my computer sound to the factory amp? Yes I know there are a lot of questions on this but everyone I have looked at deals with amps with RCA inputs. So what do I need to hook my computer sound to my car amp? Once again sorry for making this all seem repetitive. But I am at my wits end with trying to figure this out. Thanks.

I would say the easiest thing to do is look at the auxillary input adapters made by Blitzsafe, SoundGate, and P.I.E.

www.logjamelectronics.com carries all of the stuff.

It depends, what kind of car do you have? Some are just coming out now. I have a 2003 GM (Avalanche) with the Bose indash 6 disc player. The first AUX in adaptors just hit the streets last month. I would check Logjam as others have suggested.

^^I have an 04 Nissan Altima. I know the first batch of BOSE headunits for my car had a jack in the back that can be made into an AUX in but I don't have that. I have tried to look for one of those headunits but to no avail.

what kind of car do you have / does your head unit support an aux input??

i have an '03 acura TL, w/ six CD in-dash changer, but the stock HU still has another unused input for an external CD-changer....i would use blitzsafe for this. As far as the stock HU is concerned, it "thinks" that it is controlling an external CD changer....

If all else fails, use a tape adapter, or inline FM modulator

Ya know that may just be the ticket I'm looking for. I have grown accustomed to some of my bose features. Overall I would prefer to hard wire it in but if that seems too hard, I'll just use rf. I'm guessing sound qualtiy isn't the best in the world.

Dump the Boze(o) headunit.. Trust me.. I replaced my HU in my 03 Silverado with an alpine unit... The EQing, X-over, and time delay funtions really bring the bose system to life.. TRUST me... Dump the stock, replace with a high end HU with a really good sound processing sections.. Plus you get a Aux input, MP3 playback, time delay, RCA outs for the stock amp and aftermarket sub, remote and bunches of other features..

i have a bose system in my acura, each speaker has an individual amp, so you need to tap in at the head unit level. fm modulator is probably the easiest way to go and since bose already sounds like crap, i wouldn't worry too much about the loss of sound quality.
