DVD To MPEG

Does anyone have any tips on a good DVD to MPEG ripping software that actually works. I have downloaded many and they dont do the trick. I will pay $$ for one if I have to. Or if there is a good freeware one that I have not tried then please inform.

Google it, you will come up with a variety of solutions real fast, both for dvd to mpeg and dvd to divx (there is at least one free way to do this, I was reading it just a few days ago, forgot where.) Why exactly do you want to convert dvd to mpeg? Dvds use MPEGII already, so what would be the advantage?

erm, that guide suggest to download DivX5 Pro, remember that it installs spyware onto your computer.
There is a way around it though

Check videohelp.com aka vcdhelp.com (mentioned earlier) aka dvdrhelp.com

They have tutorials and reviews and suggestions on tons of programs to do anything you can imagine with DVDs.

I have been googleing it for the past few months. I do find a myriad of software but most of it is crapware. Ill check out the above links!
