Question What type of material do I need?

I am looking to layer the botton of my fiberglass box with a material that dampens the effect of electrical interference. Does anyone here know of a material that will do this?
I'm building a raised (~1") fiberglass amp/Pc case and will be running the power cables beneath the case. I would like to layer the bottom of the box to prevent ground noise and such.
Will doing this even have my desired effect?

Grounded sheet aluminum will do it.

does that mean aluminum foil in the layup would work too, assuming it didnt rip and lose connection?

Possibly, if you can ground it.

hmm.... so if I put a layer or two of aluminum foil in between two layers of 'glass, connected to a grounding point... it should create a sheild?

Should this help kill unwated "noise"?

no idea. if you do this, id braze a wire on the foil and glass in the wire, rather than have foil sticking out of the layup.

foil will tear way too easily.

where did you guys hear about this? is this supposed to be a variation of a faraday cage?
