i have seen a site where you can hack the changer input... but can't find it now... crutchfield sells a connector that does just this for 39.99 (i'm sure to can find them for less than that)...
I've got my computer built and working great, and my touchscreen is mounted in the dash; unfortunately, I've run out of money and have not finished the audio part of the system... Here's my options in the short term and the long term:
long term- buy Power Acoustik headunit with aux in and dvd,vcd,am/fm built in @ $200 (which I'll probably do eventually when $ permits)
short term- buy fm mod or transmitter....or hack apart my current headunit (a Pioneer deh-1100) and rig up a aux in setup on it...
since I'm out of money and want to play with my setup, hacking up the headunit that I'm going to replace anyway seems like not too bad of an idea...has anyone done this before, or knows that it cant be done? If I dont get to take apart the hu, it sets back my toy a good solid 2wks...![]()
