    Higher output alternators

Can anyone recommend me a higher output alternator than the
stock one on a 98 ranger.

I'm thinking about the 200 amp one here:
    http://www.mralternator.com/alternators/ford.html

    Anyone got any recommendations ?

Also if anyone wants to discuss multiple alternators
I would like any info you can provide.

I went to a local battery shop (Bomber Batteries) and the set me up with the rebuild parts. Changed my 105amp to 140amp.

Unless your running a super-system(which you could be) i don't think you need a "high" output alternetor, get a quality battery such as Exide Orbital or Optima Yellowtop, or maybe even two of them and a battery isolater, just depends on what your running, plus post what you plan on running and we will see what we can do =)

Regardless of what I need. A high output is what I want

I want at least 130 amps. 200 sounds great

Well I have some question 'bout this. Are your cables that are running from you stock alternator able to handle this current? And will your battery survive a higher charge current?

Another Q is how much horse power you're willing to sacrifice. It will take more power from the engine to turn a larger alt.

Same goes for multiple alternators. The actuall diference may be miniscule, but it should be considered.

    Doesn't really matter to me.
And as for the multiple, it's just for informative purposes.
I don't plan on adding multiple alternators.
