    Exclamation Stereo Problems

Hey guys i got a problem.

1st. I have a stock stereo i havent had the chance to change anything the only thing new is the head unit which im bout to get rid of cus it sux. But anway my first problem is whenever i drive i hear this sound when ever i accelerate i looked and everything is grounded right so i dont know what the problem is.

2nd. Once in a full blue moon my back speakers decide they wanna work. I checked the wiring going from the headunit to my power harness and everything is intact and the way its suppose to be. But for some reason i get no sound out of it. The weirdest thing happened last nite. I get into the car and started it up and the back speakers worked so i drove home (bout a half hour) and would hear this scratchy noise coming out of the back speakers. So i got home turned the car off and then turned it to the point the radio just came on and my back speakers were no longer working. Like i said my speakers just comes on when they want to. Do u think i need to replace the speakers or do u think its a wiring problem or a problem with the actual head unit.

3rd. Im gonna shave my antenna off so i was wondering is there a better place to put the new antenna that im gonna buy.

4th. If anybody knows of an easy way to take the speaker cover off so i can change the back speakers then that would be greatly appreciated even a comment on a fast way to change the back speakers would be great.

    Thanx
    Jae

I know you've said you checked the wiring harness but it really sounds like a loose/bad connection.

    thats what one would think

i actually just replaced a speaker today for similar reasons. my front driver side speaker had been cutting in and out. whenever i would bang on my door panel it would come back in. so today i tear everything apart to see what is going on. everything looked good. checked connection, got my multimeter and and check continuity, all is well. i ghettoed a new speaker in there and all is well. going to buy some new polk momos ... but can't justify the $$$ yet when i have perfectly good POS speakers in my basment.

see if you can find a random 8ohm speaker to throw in there for a moment so you can test it
don't worry i know i usually don't make much sense

to test for wire defects, I.E to check if the wiring is correct and not damaged, use the wires to connect a LED to it, i.e create a full loop witht he wiring, if the LED's dont light, it shows theres a breakage in the wires. Use the right LED for the right Battery lol

Not necessarily true. Blue and White and based on gallium indium nitride WILL use 3.3 - 4.4v, but the old ones like red, green, orange, and yellow use between 1.8 and 2.4v

the ground may be a solid, good ground.

but if its in a noisy location, you will get noise. try moving it. and not two inches away. try moving it a distance away.

is it grounded to the radio harness? or is it grounded to the frame of the dash?
