Sanyo: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ZPG0Ybn...&avf=Y&search=
Im too am looking. How good is that kenwood? Too bad its out of stock tho...
The Sanyo looks good. I may be getting that in a few weeks. I don't need anything spectacular... the HU will only be for radio and input from the carPC (and perhaps the occasional CD).

Ebay? That's where I got my "new" one when my old Kenwood broke on me.Originally Posted by SniperXX
eBay USUALLY will have pretty good prices. I got a new Pioneer (can't remember model number at the moment) for $90 which has rear aux with a $15 adapter.

any pioneer with a P-bus input. you can get pioneer from ebay for dirt and a half.
they run on a four numbered system. first number is the series (1 series is entrylevel, 9 series is high end). the second number is the model year (I believe 6 is current, 5 is last year, and 0 is six years ago.)
thus a pioneer deh-P4000 is a six year old 4 series (mid level) radio.
you can find 1500's for dirt. you can find 2400's for dirt. you can find 4400's and 4300's for dirt and a half.
for double dirt you can find 9200's and have the swimming dolphins.
they all have P-bus inputs, so you can get the AUX adapter and have your input. the EQ on pioneer's also have separate settings between the CD player and AUX in, so you can up the bass if your computer bass output is low (a common problem here) and it wont over EQ the bass into the CD player when you put CD's in, because the easyEQ will retain different settings each input.
they have a small learning curve, but its not as hard to figure out as kenwood or alpine. and once you know one, you know 90% of pioneers out there.
edit: I forgt to mention that the P-bus connector is technically a CD changer input. Now, you may want to add a CD changer later, which you cant do if you get that $15 adapter (by the way I have an extra one you can have for that plus shipping) anyways, if you decide you want a CD changer afterall, to have 13 cd capacity along with the computer, you can get a $50 adapter instead of a $15 adapter and have BOTH aux inputs AND a CD changer.
now, heres an interesting thing to mull over. I hear there is an adapter to hook up three CD changers. and seperately control them! Since I heard this, I have been unable to find the adapter, and also the place I originally read this.
but you think about it, it sure would be cool to have three changers plus AUX in, with a 6 cd changer in the map pocket, a 12 cd changer under your seat, a 50 cd changer (yes pioneer makes a 50 cd changer for the car) in the trunk, AND a computer with 250 gig of movies and mp3.......
dang, can anyone say rediculous?
Look for Dual head units. I have one and it works great. They usually run for under $100.
