As long as there is adiquet room (check speaker specs) there would be no difference in output. If you have space I would build a sealed enclosure. The one you have linked is ported/vented.

Not nessasarily. Ported does work and when tuned right can sound great. Without getting technical it is kind of "cheating" with air space. You can have the box be smaller but the bass isn't as accurately produced.Originally Posted by pimpJ

Ported=Louder/Looser
Sealed=Cleaner/Tighter
Both can sound good if done right.
I prefer sealed.

u need to build the box according to your speaker specs. Find out the internal volume for the subwoofer you are using.
