    Question Wiring RCA connectors

    Can anyone confirm that when wiring up an RCA connector, the outer wire is a shield and the inner wire is the one that actually carries the signal ??

    Also anyone know where I can find out which two wires from my CD changer carry the audio feed. 2001 VW golf.

    That is correct. Ithe outer is the shield and the inner wire carries the signal wire.
