How do I convert a 5.1 channel SPDIF connector on my mobo to 5/6 RCAs for my amplifiers?
Google was no help

Yeah, i've been looking at that as well, and it looks like it's always going to be expensive to go 5.1 SPDIF to 6 channel RCAs. I don't think it's particularly hard to design a circuit like that, i think Analog Devices and TI have a ICs which will demultiplex, then some good quality DACs to go back to analogue... but it'd be difficult to source parts and expensive in terms of time to design...![]()
pheonix gold as an amp that will accept spdif input, its about $500 msrp, obviously less from the audio outlets, but considering its a pretty decent amp and decoder, it may be an option.
i just wish it had more power![]()
