That defeats the purpose of having PC in the car, just rip them into you HD.
Is it possible? I tried searching, no relevant material appeared. I am sure its possible, but some software would probably need to be coded, which I am not good with. Let me know what you guys think.

Sure its possible, but just need too specific info hard to find (copyright) on your cd player.
So:![]()
Better rip it as soon as possible, if possible.
And, to actually answer the question asked, instead of telling the person WHY OR WHY NOT TO DO IT. Does your CD changer work with the head unit, or does it inject the signal into your antenna.
Quick! To the Popemobile!
hmmm. If we could get th cd changer to work with a PC (the direct connection type- eg Pioneer P-Bus), we could get the PC to appear as a CD changer to the Head Unit.
that would be nice with the oem CD changer controls and such
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

The CD Changer actually connects to the head unit and has its own dedicated source input. Of course you could just rip the Cd(s) to the hard disk, however I think it would be sweet to have the computer and cd changer "talking", this doesnt necessarily even have to be limited to inside a car.
Mreh. Then search for something like the Pioneer CD-Changer hack. And how far that has progressed. (Not very)
