Has anyone heard of a circuit that will trigger output from low level audio signal (line level not amp level)
I know they make modules that turn amps on with amp level audio signal...however after testing they do not work with line level no matter how big the line driver.
Here is the circuit I use now:
My computer is set to go into standby when key is turned off (set in power options), then if the vehicle is not started back up in an hour the system goes into hibernation (set in power options)
The first timer (standby) relay is set to send a negative trigger (to latching relay) after 3 seconds (the time it takes for audio signal to resume coming out of standby) and a positive trigger 1 second after key is turned off
The second timer (hibernate) relay is set to send a negative trigger after 20 seconds (the time it takes for audio signal to resume coming out of hibernation) and a positive trigger 1 second after key is turned off
If there was a low voltage turn on circuit (ie. line level voltage not amp level 4.5v or greater) then all of this would not be necessary.
I've searched and been unable to find one.
There has to be something better...
The pac tr7's +input trigger can be as low as 0.8 volts. Have you tried feature#1?
I'm using feature#12 as part of my shutdown controller.Code:low voltage trigger | | (green) | pacTR7 | | (blue) | amp's remote turn on

I have not (my testing was done with other modules...I will test)Originally Posted by djScript
Silly of me not to test a module I already have.
Where did you see the .8v rating? I just assumed it was just a standard 4.5v or greater.
