? bout sony headunit

Well the other day someone broke into my car and tried to steal my cd player but failed.. When they tried to steal it they broke the motorized face's gears.. The radio works fine but i just cant eject the cd.. I took it apart and took \out the gears so its no longer motorized. How can i get out the cd or fix it where the cd player works?

Usually when you press the reset button on a sony HU it ejects the cd....

i tried to do the reset but it was a no go.. the headunit is a cdx-m3di..

thanks.. thats why im trying to fix it instead of trashing it and getting a new one.. And of course this had to happen right before i got insurance

ok well my cd player is in like 100 pieces but i see the problem.. there are to tiny *** switches located in the same place the gear goes.. and the gear has a little plastic piece coming out of it that would hit one of the switches.. next to the black one it says "closed" and the white one "open". Now the hard part.. Where can i find a spur gear that is like this one? I've searched alot on google and nothing.. any help is greatly appreciated..

Mabye try calling sony??
