Did you try grounding your Mobo/PSU to the same spot that the HU is grounded to?

Are you saying that you fixed the problem by grounding the audio from the CD changer line to the same point that you grounded everything else ??.
And to do this will I need to cut the ground wire from the CD changer end rather than just splicing it ?????

I would use 8awg - 4awg wire for power and for ground. Keep your ground short as possible. Make sure all signal cables are far from power cables (i mean all of them).

What about plugging the computer in to a regular (AC) power supply and keep the computer in the car hooked up as normal. Then provide power via a long extension cable... turn on the car and rev the engine and see if the noise is still there.
This will let you know about how your ground in the car is working because you are isolating the computer to it's own power source. It's not that hard to do and it's worth a try![]()
