Hey guys,
So here's the deal. I've designed my system without a HU unit so I'll obviously need an amp. I don't need to power any subs or anything complicated. I've basically got four speakers, two in the front two in the rear. I basically want a decent quality amp to power the four speakers and hopefully be small enough to tuck away where the HU unit was. The quality and power of the HU was fine to me as it was if that helps in terms of making a recommendation.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

They are stock speakers... lemme check the factory manual.
Check out ikesound.com, great prices,
if they arent in the manual, just pop them out quickly, and look on the back of them. A sticker should reveal their wattage and ohmage. Then we can give you some sort of buying guide.
Since I dont' know the wattage and I'm not having any luck finding the info, How many channel amp would I need?
a simple 2ch amp wired in parallel would work, just make sure the amp is 2ohm stable which all reputable brands are. 50 watts would be plenty for a simple setup.
well, if you did a bit of coupling up you could easily do it with a 2 channel amp. If you wanted things nice and simple, just go with a 4 channel stereo amp.
Knowing what stock speakers are normally like, a 400-600w amp should suffice you with lots of room to spare and give you room to upgrade in the future![]()
Okay, stock head unit puts out 67 watts total, stock speakers rated at 25 watts max input.
I would probably upgrade the speakers at some point for sure. Nothing too great, but decent quality. So I should plan for some room to grow.Originally Posted by Dracos
