Sirius Tuner Like the XM Direct?

I'm a fan of Howard Stern, and I've been hearing good things about Sirius' channel lineup. At some point, I'd like to add Satellite radio to my setup, but all I could find with the search was XM oriented.

Are there any barebones tuners out there like the XM Direct? If so, has anyone been able to reverse engineer the cable? I'd be willing to pay $50 or so for that cable.

HybridMike, HybridEngineer? Thoughts?

I am working on reverse engineering their stuff. I don't have one of their direct units yet, but I plan on using the alpine reciever which just came out I believe (haven't checked yet, but was supposed to be sold on 11/20). It should be the easiest to work with considering that the alpine AiNET interface isn't that complicated, but I will see

just checked...the alpine interface is out so hopefully i will be able to pick one up locally at fry's or circuit city (before the year is out, when they don't sell alpine again)

I don't want to be an *** but, C'mon, some basic search will get you the answer you are looking for.

The way they did it, it just shows the current information. I think he want full control over a sirius receiver for an aftermarkert headunit, unlike what they were doing at sirius backstage.

Thats the only relevant thread i saw, so I may be wrong if I didn't

Khemical, I was trying to do the same thing you are. How far along are you? I'm trying to figure the ai-net pinouts and such.

I have a hidaway pioneer Unit,Wanted to have XM again, but I was running without a HU, So I found a wayto hack the IP bus and make a IPBUS cable to standard RCA's, I'm sure there is something similar for Sirus tuners, try and find a pin diagram, I'm sure someone has done it.

Uhm, where is the area to talk about this and carputers? I dont want to buy a unit or anything like that to have Sirius on my Shuttle XPC and Media Center!
