hi, i've got a Magnat xcite 600 amp, and it doesnt have a fuse attached. Can someone help me find the appropriate fuse value.

you don't need separate channels for your rear speakers... use the 4 channel amp in 3 channel mode... run the speakers in parallel or you can opt for an after amp "passive" fader... then on the mono channel just use the built in crossover, and for simplicity and compactness just use a single 8" or 10" sub... you will be plenty happy with either size...
don't spend the money on a 5 channel amp, this is just overkill... you aren't building a high end system, so don't follow the rules as if you were... you could literally get away with a 2x50amp and a passive crossover.

Hey all. Great thread on car audio install. I have hooked up several systems when I was younger, but so much has changed and there are so many options out there. I personally am looking for a nice clean sound with decent base. I am not looking to hook up subs. With 3 kids, I need all the trunk space I can get. I have a 19996 Saab 9000 with 3.5" speakers and separate tweeters in front dash and rear 6x9s with separate tweeters. I was always under the assumption that all the highs should come from in front of you and lows or base from the rear. Here is what I have purchased so far. Clarion 4 channel 240 watt amp.2 Phonix Gold RSD690 6X9s for rear and 2 crappy Boss 3.5s with built in tweeters. When hooked up directly to the head unit, the stock front speakers sounded much better. I see everyone likes components for front, but can't find a compenent in this size, I might fabricate to fit 5 1/4. If I do, how do I hook up a component and crossovers to the amp and at 60 watts per channel is the am strong enough. If not I can always bridge down to 2 channels for just the back 6x9s and get a different one for fronts. I apologize for making my first thread so long and would greatly appreciate any input. Also before I get any comments, selling my car for something different is not an option. I have to work with what I have![]()
