Yes, this is almost certainly possible, but you will have to find out which wires are the audio input wires, Left-Right-AudioGround. You might try www.audiworld.com , that's where I found the stereo pinouts for my Audi. Also, many Audi's come from the factory with external amplifiers. You might want to look into that as well. you can get an adapter from Blitzsafe which hook up to the header behind the symphony stereo (you'll need to get tools to remove it). To use the aux input, you'll simply push the CD button a couple of times and it will switch to aux. See:

I'm also trying to do the same thing on my 2002 A4 1.8T. I haven't tried, but does the Symphony stereo fit in the glove box? If you get it to go in there, please post pics!

I also have an 02 audi a4 i'm pretty sure the stock hu fits in the glovebox i'm planning on putting the stock hu on the bottom and the carputer on top where the cd changer would be>

Great! Thanks for the info! Wow, the whole carputer in the CD changer slot? There not much space in there! You gonna use a nano-itx setup?

Now would you know where to tap into the constant 12V and the switched 12V accesory power line? I'm planning to get DSSC regulator/shutdown controller and maybe use an inverter or the DC-DC PW200.
