Thread: Citroen C4

When i asked the dealer where the button for that function was, strangely he didnt say much! Must be on a higher spec model, somewhere about the million pound mark lol
Im going to the dealer tomorrow, so might get him to ring citroens technical people to ask.
He has already said i can wire the car for computer, without affecting warranty as long as i dont disturb the cars main loom, so thats fine then!
He is definetely going to give me a funny look when i walk in with a magnetic gps mouse(to see if it will stick to the roof) and an 8" lilliput, so i can find a suitable place to mount them! Whats the point in buying a car if nothing will fit!

Iron grey or black, not sure yet. I did want gunmetal grey, but its not an option on the C4

Ive been in for the test drive today, its an awesome car! Took out the 1.6HDI hatchback, and that was great. But then i took out the 2.0HDI coupe with the 9 speaker JBL system in, and it blew me away, pulls in every gear, including 6th, 140bhp too! Think im going for a 1.6HDI coupe, mix of the 2, and at 15000, not bad money for the kit its got!

As it is a blaupunkt system, and they use the standard 5 disc DIN changer, he says there should be no problem finding the right wires or adapter box to do the AUX in, but he is going to contact citroen technical to check.

Apparently the robot model is all CGI, couldnt believe it lol, was looking forward to taking my robot on a rampage down the high steet

1.6HDI? Did you try any petrol ones to compare that too? The pug/citroen turbo diesels are good though - can't believe you aren't getting the 2.0HDI though but it is a lot more expensive and i have heard the 1.6HDI is pretty good. 92bhp i think which is amazing for a small diesel.

Blaupunkt stereos should be pretty easy to get an aux into through the changer control but make sure the system has autochanger option - i got into thei carpc thing as i was going to put a changer in my pug but realised that the Clarion HU was crap as they had not put the CD changer options into it.

Im going for the 110 bhp version of the 1.6HDI with VTR + spec, and i chose it over the petrol due to the fact it returns a combined mpg of 60! The extra urban is 70mpg! And im a farmer, so diesel is in my blood!
Thats nearly 800 miles to a tank, give or take! 11 seconds to 60, and top of nearly 120. Fine for me, i dont really need the 6 speed 2.0HDI with 140bhp, i wouldnt keep my licence long enough to enjoy the car!
The 9 speaker JBL setup was lovely, never distorted all the way up the volume to deafening levels!
Was quite strange wandering over a white line and having my buttock massaged by the lane departure warning system, as the dealer didnt tell me it was fitted to the demo car!

screw me! 110bhp out of a 1.6 diesel!!!! crikey. I wasnt suggesting you get a petrol just wondering what the power was like - i would never buy a french petrol unless it had at least 2 litres and at least 160bhp - and even then i would rather go with a HDI and up the boost.

You don't fancy the buttock massager option then? Could be quite nice on a lonely drive You might get pulled over for driving all the way up the motorway on the white line though. "sorry officer, i was getting a buttock massage"

I can think of other things to spend £300 on! Probably the metallic paint! And there is 1600 quid off this month,(1100 discount plus a 500 'diesel' bonus), that'll pay for the speakers, bluetooth integration and supa dupa alarm with tough windows!
Or the 300 will go towards paying an autoelectrician to run all the wires for me, i dont really want to 'hack' apart a new car running wire feeds! Fused battery and ACC to boot, USB,VGA,regulated power and RCA's to dash from boot
