To be honest, I dont even know what the prices are for any of the Rainbow stuff :\

I'm sure if you call Rainbow they'd be happy to put you in touch with a reseller to meet your needs....if they can't do that or sell to you direct, then its not worth owning

I looked online, and I think the closest dealer was really far away (actually, I just looked at their website and couldnt find anything on dealer stores). And I do not really know if I could get them mail ordered, being they have a reputation to keep.... Plus, I dont know if I could afford any of their stuff

Reason you never heard of them: Cause they are the top of the line, and only authorized dealers can sell them, and their are few authorized dealers in the US being its a German company.

i guess there are no authorized dealers here then, i bet they would be overpriced as hell anyway, all our car audio gear is always overpriced

anyway i'm a JL man , i dunno if that fits into the speciality shop catagory or what

Yeah, JL would be specialty shop IMO

And I am sure the Rainbow stuff is no more overpriced than any of the other stuff, even though I think the prices for their stuff are in the thousands (for their non entry level. Their entry level might be 400 or so).

I have not really heard enough stuff to be a judge of who I like best, but I think I will be happy with what I get. I am just hopeing that the Adire Koda comps that I will probably get will compare to my brothers Boston speakers, because his, you can play as loud as you want with no distortion (your ears just start to hurt, but the music still sounds good!). Course, their is a 150 dollar price difference, but being Adire is an online brand, their is a good chance that the markup on them if they were in a store would make up the price difference.

I am sorry to see no Pyle or Dual users yet, hehe

glad im not the only one who hates them with a passion. it gets so bad around here that sometimes it feels like the windows are gonna break they rattle so much.

and my favorite saying for them are "thump machines you can hear coming up behind you 2 miles down the road"

I love it when someone has pimped out the stereo in their car, but left the rest of the vehicle to rust. Nothing like that *wonderful* license-plate buzzing coming off of the trunk when the all-important bass hits.

You know its good music when you can feel it in your gonads. Christ.
