get rid of the bose and the modulator, buy a real headunit with aux inputs
I need your help. I am using SB 2. I have gotten it to go from my computer through a PAC AANIS modulator, to my bose head unit. I have a G35. The modulator plugs into my SAT radio button. I had to forfeit sat radio to do this. I get sound, but it is terrible. It garbly and has tremendous interference. Are there any suggestions by you to fix this problem.
I have run everything down the middle of the car. I have a single jack coming out of my sound card that then splits into two rca's that then goes into the modulator. There are no power lines crossing over any wires. Could someone please give me some suggestions.
Thanks,
Jim

My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.

That option is way to expensive for my car. I have seen others use the modulator for an ipod and it works fine. What gives with my setup?
probably a ground loop

what is a ground loop?
you run everything down the middle of the car? like power right next to signal?
that's a first no no
you have an infiniti and you complain about replacing the head unit being too expensive? lol
a ground loop is basically where you have multiple ground point issues, where every point where something is grounded is at a different distance from that point and the ground point on the battery, or it's where you have different resistances between the ground points and the negative battery terminal

This is what I bought to get the signal into the head unit from the pc.
[I]The AAI-NIS works with a Satellite ready Infiniti and Nissan factory radios. It allows audio from devices like Apple's iPod™, VCP, MP3 players, Portable CD players, DVD players or aftermarket satellite receivers to play through the stock stereo system. It has two auxiliary inputs which are selected by the SAT/Radio button on face of radio. The AAI-NIS is the first in the industry to use the steering wheel or radio buttons to send out commands to PAC's optional SWI-X which can be used to control an MP3 player, DVD, VCP or most devices that use an infrared remote. The AAI-NIS also comes with negative remote outputs when ever the radio is in Aux mode which can be used to turn on devices.
Vehicles supported:
2003-2005 G35
2004-2005 350Z
2003-2005 Murano, Pathfinder
2004-2005 Maxima, Murano, Quest, FX-35/45
2005 Altima
2004-2005 Infiniti QX56
Note: Plugs in at back of radio only. This aux input will not work if the vehicle is already equipped with a satellite receiver. The AAI-NIS will support 2003 Murano / Pathfinder, 2004 Nissan Maxima / Murano / Pathfinder / Quest, 2005 Altima, 2004-2005 Inifinit QX56 and Infiniti 2004 FX-35/45, however due to the way the steering wheel and presets control the radio (vehicles with a PRESET ABC button), the SWI-X output is not supported. PRESET A is assigned to Auxiliary 1 input and PRESET B is assigend to Auxiliary 2 input. PRESET C does not access any inputs on the AAI-NIS.
NO, I did not do that...all power is down passenger side and speaker wire is up driver side. I ran all my computer usb, rca, vga, up the middle.Originally Posted by Red GTi VR6

Since the AC control is integrated into the Bose radio, it costs a lot! It is a huge rip off. And yes I have the money, but I like the stock head unit, plus I would rather spend the six hundred dollars in parts (not including the new head unit) that I would have to pay to, on other things like...let me see...a carputer!
find a way to put the signal into the stock amp. you could wire an A/B switch.
