    Question Help with Nav/dvd system!!

I drive a 1999 Explorer (eddie bauer) w/ the premium audio option and i wanted to replace the stock radio with the Eclipse AVN2454 (www.eclipse-web.com) which is a touch screen double din stereo, navigation system, and dvd player all in one unit (except for maybe a little gps antenna).

it looks like the local car audio place wants about $100 to install it. My question is, should i take a crack at it myself? i have installed a cheapo CD player before just using online tutorials and it came out great. i don't want to void any warranties!! in addition to the standard wires i think this unit also hooks up to my speedometer or something so that it knows my speed (VSS wire perhaps??) as well as another wire that goes to my breaks i think. i have not recieved the unit in the mail yet so i haven't had a chance to see all the wires. anyone know any good tutorials out there?? any tips/advice/warnings/anything is greatly appreciated!!!!

On top of that, i have a 12in memphis sub and amp that i want to put in there and was wondering if i should just leave the factory sub in there and add mine or if i should yank it out. I don't even know where it is, but i assume it is not a 12in so there is no chance of installing it into the factory housing??

    Thanks so much!!!
    Eric

this is the one i'm looking to order. as far as install having use to do it for a job i would say that the radio in quesiton is no particular easy feat $100 is cheap for the amount of time to set it up right and have it warrantied by a certified installer. if you know what your doing then fine take a stab at it but if you know just enough to get yourself in trouble it's well worth it.
