Power USB soundcard

I have a laptop with very bad sound quality. (I use the laptop to connect tot aux-in on my HU). So i want to upgrade my sound on the laptop and i think the best/most common option is to use an external usb soundcard.

Most usb soundcards need to use external power to operate. But how could i manage this. How can i be able to power the usb soundcard (using sigarette plug?). I am not really into car powering etc.
I use the sigaretteplug for powering my lilliput & laptop and this all goes well.

it all depends on what the wall plug requires....12v, 5v, 3.3v? if it's 12 you can just use the cig plug, or wire it into the car.....

So everyone is using a cigarette 12v adapter for powering the soundcard? Im looking for a SB audigy NX2 but it needs external power.

not that I am aware of, most people just tap into the cars 12v source by hardwiring into it....or so i thought.....

Maybe someone could give some examples of their setup. I want to connect a usb soundcard (probably sb audigy) and some more usb devices. So the usb hub needs to be powered to.

How to manage all this?

again, check the wall plug and see what it says, if it's 12v hard wire it into the car, if it's 5 or 3.3 v, tap into the power supply for the computer
