Thanks alot, i dont see any details about your amp in your post, but 800w kenwood 5ch, how much was it? and sorry but can u tell me anything wrong with the one i posted to look at, like will it work for my car, i want front left right, back left right, and a big *** sub.

They don't give you ANY specs on that amp, the power ratings that they give aren't backed up by ANYTHING, no fuse ratings, no THD ratings, NOTHING!

I would get about as far away from that amplifier as possible....

I know you want cheap, but keep in mind that you REALLY do get what you pay for in car audio, if the power ratings seem great for the price there is a reason...BECAUSE THEY ARE A LIE!

Car audio doesa't have a controlling body that regulates what these people say

That thing only has 60 amps for fuse according to the pictures...that no where near enough to push the kind of power they are claiming..

fidn the home page for American Boss and find that amp, look for other ratings, if they don't give them to you be very scared of that amplifier....

You would be better of buying a bucket to **** in, especially for what comes out to be about $240 USD....

and well i just figured id buy a 5 channel so i dont get confused.

it does....

45x4 @4 ohms, 75x4 @2 ohms, 150x2 @4 ohms bridged
& 190x1 @2 ohms bridged for sub channel

see that....how it's giving you all the different power ratings at differnet ohm loads.....for 4 channels, then it says.....

190 x 1 @ 2 ohms bridged for sub channel

that's a 5 channel amp...

before you go and spend ANY of your money, you need to do some serious reading and researching. A question like this is fine, it just tells me that you need to do a LOT more research before you plop down a grand....

a tweeter is basiacally a speaker that is dedicated to higher frequencies....they usually come int he middle of a coaxial speaker or seperate in a pair of components (seperates).

In doing so, a speaker will more accurately reproduce those higher frequencies and will have a more specific range of frequencies that it can reproduce

ok - going to bust out the math again for this one...

i'm actually surprised that Pyle states their amperage rating for their amplifiers...

so they claim 40 amps of max current....this is good to know

Now, you should know (if you don't already) that:

Power = voltage x current x effiiency

with this in mind we can go about this a few different ways...

let's go with the 1400 watt rating.

1400 watts = 14.4 volts x 40 amps of fusing x efficiency.

according to this formula, that amplifier would have to be 243% efficient.....not going to happen, no way in HELL! Not even after pig flew....just never going to happen.

Or we can look at it this way:

14.4 volts x 40 amps of fusing x 75% efficiency (for this particular kind of amplifier - and that's on the high end) = 432 watts of reliable, believable power.

that's a far cry from 1400 watts...

as long as you understand this,and know that you aren't getting that FULL 1400 watts of power, and are ok with it, and are ok with spending 250 on an amplifier that delivers less power than they are claiming, at a much dirtier signal...then go for it.

I, myself, would rather spend that 250 on a better amplifier. Those better amplifiers won't make outrageous claims like that pile pf Pyle =]

I really think that you can better spend your $250 on a better amplifier. But you should also get what ever you are happy with, and if that means that amplifier, then go for it.
