Hi Everyone ...
I'm an absolute begineer. I've a first generation ipod with headphone out.
I've a pioneer DEH-P4690MB head unit with IP-Bus for auxiliary input.
I searched the threads for information regarding IP-Bus hacks and I'm
comfortable with that. Now my question is can I connect it to my
iPod headphone out or do I need to amplify the signal before sending it to
the IP-Bus interface ?
If I need to amplify the headphone out signal, can anyone suggest
something which I can do it myself as here in India audio accessories
like CDRB10 etc are not available and/or every expensive.
thanks and regards,
-Wilson

Oh. Well I have a cd-rb10 and that does not require any amplication from an ipod headphone socket. Should be same with you I guess.

I'll post about my experience once I complete the IP-Bus connector using the hack posted on this site.

I have that set up now I have an pioneer headset with the cd-r20 it sounds pretty good but before you buy that you may want to look into this http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOCDIB100?ref=frog I may switch to this it lets you pioneer head unit control your ipod and also charges it
That's not an option in my case as mine is a first gen ipod which does notOriginally Posted by lagunatl2k
