1.) Yes ofcourse there are no problem setting this unit up when first installed to tune it in. When I installed my previous standard hifi-system in my car I tuned it in, closed the trunk and of I went. The rest was adjusted from the headunit for day to day use. Since I have the touchscreen to change song, volume, switching modes etcetera it would be annoying to have an additional remote to use for basic adjustments like volume or to select sources when driving. I assume this is not the case, but if it is I´ll rather go with a non-digital amp that doesnt require this.

2.) If I have optical out on my soundcard I dont see why I have to have any other cables connected to the amp from my carpc and not why I have to select between sources on the amp...

Switching sources can be achive through using ACC and Remote in turn on leads. Check the manual to see how everything works, but you do need to hook up the remote first in order to switch to SPDIF or RCA-D input initially. I haven't recieved my remote control with my amp, still waiting for it to arrive then I'll be able to tell you more how it works out, and for now I'm just following the manual that I got with the amp to explain. So I can't be 100% sure if this particular does really work as described in that manual.

The main point is that it should switch the inputs automatically for you once you have everything setup. Once I've test everything out myself I make a new topic on PT 5.1 amp, with pros and cons and all the details on how to set everything up the right way.

ICBM 5.1 supports pseudo surround mode 4.1 (center channel gets split between front two)

Can someone confirm that this amp can be wired to the cars ignition or any kind of wired remote on/off so that I can integrate it to the push-button I press when I want to turn on the computer?

Your power supply probably has REMote amp turn on lead, just use that, this amp is not any different than other amps except for that instead of 1 remote turn on connector it has 2 of them "ACC" - connects to ignition +, and "REM" - remote turn on. The reason why it has 2, is that when you play lets say only your cd player, you run the remote turn on from that cd player to ACC, so the amp will turn on and go into analog mode without the use of its on board decoder. Then if you have a DVD player thats connected to the amp throught the optical cable, you run the remote turn on from it to "REM" connector on the amp, so when you turn that DVD player on the amp goes into digital mode (decoder is on). So you just have to figure out the way to connect it to the computer onboard sound card. I use both RCA analog and SPDIF toslink, so you can just wire a flip switch to send a + signal to "REM" or use the remote to switch on the decoder.

Has anyone found any reviews on this amp?
I cant find any and the prices on this amp is always "on sale" or reduced so I guess it´s a bad performing one, correct?
My local shop didnt think that with that price and specs, would be any kind of quality inside and that I would get disapointed
