But I doubt they gonna deal with anyone unless you're a company...
This phone number is for another distributor, not actually performance teknique themselves .... just tried it

That's the same number I had and tried. I asked several times to confirm that this was in fact "Performance Technique" and they said yes.I went through people's names such as Sayia, Maggy, Ruth and few others there. They all said that this specific info had to be run by their technician - "Leigh". Can it be that "millionbuy", "Techtronics" and "csexpo" are all in this together. Perhaps this is all a fasade and all of these organizations are one in the same. I too find this all very strange and disturbing. Makes one leary to even trust any online vender. I'll have to persist and hope that there is still a bit of honesty and integrity out there. To date no return phone calls or emails to my deficit shipment complaint.

Thats crazy because when I asked if this was Performance Teknique the lady told me no. She said they distribute Performance Teknique products but that if I had a problem I was calling the wrong number. This whole thing sucks. Techronics is actually trying to tell me that the amp is not suppose to ship with a remote haha. If you look a tthe second page of the manual it distinctly says that the remote is included in the package. I don't really care how it happens I just want thtat dam remote.

Good Luck to anyone else that is having this rediculous problem.

I'm still attempting to resolve this with millionbuy.com. I'll follow up later.

YOU DO NEED THE REMOTE AND THE RECIEVER FOR IT!
The manual that came with it was printed out on $hity a$$ printer and you can barely see anything.
I STILL DONT HAVE MY REMOTE FOR IT!
after calling them every week for another month they finally told me that that they not going to send me the remote for it because its a refurbished product.
I'm really ****ed and will report them to the BBB and other authorities.
So are you still using this amp? If so, how do you have it configured without the remotes? Any updates to your remote search? I'm still without a remote myself and realy don't think millionbuy.com cares one way or the other. A shame since I refuse to return it and have them do the same trick on another person. Id be out of pocket by nearly $100 when all is said and done. So debugger, where are you Aat with this now?

I'm still trying to decide what to do. I was "donated" a very nice sub (Infinity Kappa Pefect 12") Problem is that I don't think this amp can shell out the 400W RMS. The only way you can set it up without the remote is with analog connections. The digital aspects are completely useless to you without the remote. So lame... I'm probably just going to return it even tho it will mean I am out 100 dollars between teh two companies that have screwed me on this amp.

Just set it up analog and best of luck to you.

I would call the BBB and report them. You'll get your money back as long as you have all the info about the transactions and stuff.

Well not really. A return email from them details that they'll only be responsible for the item cost. Meaning that I'll be out the GST tax, PST tax, Duty, the shipping fee to me, the brokerage fee, the taxes levied on the shipping and brokerage fees and not to mention all of the long distance phone calls spent. I haven't even mentioned the return shipping fees that I'll also have to swallow since they have made it clear they won't compensate for that either. These all totalled would come roughly to approximately 40% of the net cost of the amp in the first place.Whether it be private or business, it's quite apparent that dealings with any of those discount sources will also have to be viewed upon as "Buyer Beware". No real guarantees with those places either. BBB has very little weight to throw around and I'm sure that these companies already have a mechanism in place to deal with situations like this. Only real alternative would be to physically be able to walk into the main office of those establishments with product and paperwork in hand and demand appropriate action taken take place then remain there and not leave the building until a complete and satisfactory transaction has concluded. I've been bounced from one staff member to another hoping that I'll give up my quest. Trying to speak to supervisors is met with lies and excuses and no resolve. Lame compensation and weak excuses are all that was offered by millionbuy.com contacts. As rare as the possibility might be, my only option is to find someone with a similar amp that has fried it and has no further use for the IR remote equipment. Trying to source or even confirm that some sort of similar remote equipment used on other car (or possibly home) audio equipment is a distant option. Being out of the audio world loop for the last 10 years doesn't help me in trying to determine if in fact there are audio equipment out there that uses the mini plug-in remote type IR reciever and IR remote controller. Although I think this amp would still work using the RCA inputs but loses it's DTS and 5.1 abilities and will not provide 5.1 sound or even the phantom sound. As well, there are a number of other functions that are not available for use because of the lack of the remote equipment. This amp had such great potential. This along with the HiFonics Zeus 5.1 both met their demise and both seemed to be an excellent option for 5.1 car audio enthusiasts. Strange that there is really no stand alone 5.1 (optical input) amps out there that doesn't require some sort of a DSP.
I better stop before I really dig myself a hole here.

Alright people! We need those remotes and IR recievers. There is no way we can get anything out of those companies to do. Its impossible. I've tried... Whoever is lucky to locate those accessories separately let us know. Someone told me to check local swapmeets and places where they sell amp. They might have an extra remote for that amp. If I find a place, I'll let everyone know right away!

Thumbs up Perhaps a Happy Ending

Well I'll be dipped. After numerous phone calls and umpteen emails I finally got some good news more than 10 weeks after the fact. Gio from millionbuy.com just called tonight and said they tracked down a new IR remote control and reciever and will be shipping it out right away. Apparently, they sourced it from Hifonics since the Zeus 5.1 amp is identical to the ICBM 5.1 and so is the remote equipment. Perhaps me telling them to contact Hifonics about this similarity of the remotes was all that was needed. So there we go, a potential option for those of us still in a quandry into solving the missing IR remote parts. Since it's impossible to contact Performance Teknique directly, contacting Hifonics may be the better solution. Having a contact in So Cal that could personally pay them a visit would be the optimum solution in my mind. Anyway, there's options out there now.
    Good luck
