Lol. I mean the circular connector that went inbetween the headunit and eq is digital. The actual audio lines from the headunit to the eq, then out to the speakers are of course analog. I dont think I need to even use that connector at all, I think its just for headunit control of the EQ maybe? I'm trying to find an old headunit I used to have laying around, and hook it up to a pc psu and an extra set of speakers, see if it works lol

i found a stock eq that looks like that in a 1983 Toyota Cressida

    http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...589_3_full.jpg

now they are the same basiclly but this 1 has builtin amp with it.

but looking at it your eq lights up between the metal levers so it would have the cool light on each lever

You might want to see what a stock eq without amp looks like you might find it's that car or atleast around that year

    EDIT:

I attached the pic u posted and brightened it up for everyone else to see where the LED/lights are

    Holy Thread Resurrection!

First of all, I realize this thread is about 6 years old, and no good will probably come of this. To the original poster: If you still care, I can provide you with a pinout and the purpose of each wire coming off the back of the EQ. You would basically remover the harness from the EQ, and splice it into the outputs of your existing stereo. I have the same 1622 tape deck and 1701 EQ combo, but I am missing the part of the harness you would discard in your installation. If you still have the EQ, I would happily send you a check for the harness and enough wire left on it to splice onto. Also, if anyone else would have one, or know where to obtain one, please email me at [email protected] . To reiterate, I do not need the "wires from the stereo-to-existing vehicle harness." I do need the "part that clips into the stereo-to-the loose wires." Thank you for you help! -Jon
