assuming you arent using a headunit, and are currently turning on the amps with the ign or acc wires in your car, just route this wire through a relay that has its coil connected to your computers power supply
Greetings,
I decided to install a carpc on my 99 Expedition after seeing that a couple of members have done it already. I have three kids (well four if I include myself!) and I will like to offer them some entertainment on long trips thru the island of Puerto Rico. What I find annoying was the amplifier "ThUD" when the PC came up. I searched thru your post but I was looking for a clean way of fixing this problem. While searching the web, I found a device called the N66A. The N-66A was designed to eliminate amplifier turn-on pops by delaying the turn-on of a pre-amp level device until the power amp is on. The delay time of the N-66A is adjustable between 0 seconds and 30 seconds. There are only three wires needed: An input wire, and output wire, and the connection to the chassis ground. The price is just right. Here is the link to the product. Hope this end the amplifier headaches to everyone on the forum
