I just wanna get my vote in on this.

    Peel-n-Seal.

It doesn't smell, its cheap, and it works great. I only did my trunk area in it, and I can tell a difference. This summers project is the rest of the car.

B-Quiet no longer makes Brown Bread-in its place is B-Quiet Ultimate. The specs are damn near close to Dynamat and supposedly it is much easier to install (never tried Dynamat). Anyways, I just finished floor and trunk in this stuff and I wanted to show you some pictures. It is easy to work with, but is a ***** to cut.

Also on the Peal n Seal...Very easy to work with. Very pliable, easy to cut and sticks like a mother.

Any hardware store should have it. Its used for sealing roofs. And yes Home Depot has, but they don't have the "Peel 'n Seal" name. Its something else. If I could find it, I had all the numbers written down for the sqare footage costs for al the damping material (<- proper spelling. "Dampening" means it gets stuff wet...).

Peel 'n Seal was the absolute cheapest. McMaster came in next, but it also has the foam stuff on it too, not just the sticky tar layer.

At my local roofing supply store it's...<calling to confirm> CRIPES!!!! The price just shot up!!! for a 4" x 33' roll it's $13.85 for a 6" x 33' roll it's $15.99 and for the 36" x 33' roll it's $86.00. These are all 40mil. The last time I was there the 6" roll was around $12 and the 4" roll was about $8. What the hell happened???

I bought peel 'n seal from ABC supply co last year, http://www.abccatalog.com/store/view...uct=2579950036 and I remember it was indeed cheaper.

I also bought brown bread, which I think is slightly thicker than the peel 'n seal, but much more expensive.

I was thinking the same thing, but it is also the beginning of the spring. They may have raised the price for roofing season. I doubt it, but its a possibility. With this in mind, I may get some actual sound damping material for the summer.
