    Wiring 3 amps from a pc sound card!

    I will be installing a computer into my car but i wish to have 2 separate amps for 2 subs and a 3rd for the other speakers, is this possible or is there another way which will benifit me, cheers for ne help in advance lee

    That would work, but odds are you would only need 1 amp for the 2 subs, unless you have some massive sub that I have never heard of before.

    You can either split the line to go to all the amps (if your sound card only has L&R outs), or if you have a sound card with x.1 out, then you have no problem. The amp will have the cutoff frequencies so you will not damage your sub.

    Make sure to get a class D amp for your subs, by the way.

    You need to post what subs/speakers and amps you have.

    You DO NOT NEED class D on amps. They do make more power but are not a requirement.

    Thanx for your replies guys this has helped me alot, I had an idea of using a 5.1 sound card and I will only use 1 amp now then. cheers again lee
